First Stop:

Housed in a 7500 square feet of warehouse space, Bent Brewstillery is Minnesota’s first-ever brewstillery, making both craft beer and distill spirits, namely whiskey. Their most popular beer is Nordic Blonde, a pale ale mixed with a blonde ale. If you're into spirits, we recommend Kursed single malt whiskey, distilled from a mash of cherrywood- and oak-smoked malts.

Second stop:

From home brewing operation, to 780 square foot brewery, to a 7,400 square foot warehouse - NorthGate brewers have done well for themselves. You can order a pint at the bar, poured from two classic, stainless steel tap towers, and find a seat in a booth or at one of the dark colored low-top tables that give the taproom a distinct English pub atmosphere. Try Parapet, their English Pale Ale or Maggie's Leap, their take on the traditional English Sweet Stout.

56 Brewing is a Micro-Brewery in Northeast Minneapolis. We are a brewery with a focus on the community and using locally sourced ingredients with our seasonal variations and infusions. High quality craft beer produced at a lower volume in a micro-brewery allows us to focus on quality, consistency and the ability to rotate beer styles efficiently. Our focus is on community and beer lovers alike, highlighting the NE Minneapolis community and brewery culture.

Second stop:

Located in the heart of North Loop, Modist Brewing is housed inside an old Morton's Salt factory, which gives its taproom a cool, minimalist feel. The brewers use custom made, state-of-the-art equipment to create unique beers that focus on flavor, instead of category. You will not find IPAs or porters listed on the menu. Instead, there are exciting new beers such as Toats (a clean, citrus ale) and everybody’s new favorite, Smoove ( caramel & sea salt lager).

Third stop:

One of the latest and most exciting additions to Northeast Minneapolis brew scene is definitely Bauhaus Brew Labs. They specialize in German-influenced beers with an American craft twist - think Pilsner and Lager, with a dash of IPA. You can listen to bands and play trivia in their colorful taproom and bier garten 4 days a week. Bonus: you can bring your dog too!
